Delivering a lecture in the Visualization Lounge greatly enhanced the experience of my GNED 1404: Writing About Images class. Since analyzing images necessarily forms a critical part of this course, the ability to analyze an image blown up to near life size--we were analyzing Gericault's The Raft of the Medusa (5 metres high by 7 metres wide)--allowed students to pick out fine details that they would otherwise have missed. The open space of the room and the plentiful natural light were also a welcome change from the confines of a regular classroom.

The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship turned 5 this year, and to celebrate, we invited the students, alumni, faculty, community, and donors that are responsible for building the impressive reputation of Mount Royal Entrepreneurship. The Idea Visualization Lounge was the perfect venue to gather for a cocktail style event. The impressive visual wall allowed us to showcase our students and alumni through photos and stories. Not only was the venue itself spectacular, but the close proximity to the parking lot makes the room easy for find for external guests.
