Maker Studio

What is the Maker Studio?

We look forward to having the larger Maker Studio (EL1245) completed by January 2018.

The Maker Studio is a creative space for students, faculty and community users to experiment with new technologies and tools to tackle projects and explore ideas and concepts in a hands-on way. Users from the MRU community can design objects and creations for their research, coursework, or personal projects.

The Maker Studio will have scheduled drop-in times, and will be bookable for some classwork, workshops and research purposes.

Some features of the Maker Studio include:

  • 3D scanners
  • 3D printers
  • Occulus Rift
  • Button maker
  • Die cutters
  • Industrial sewing machine
  • Embroidery machine
  • High end computers with design software
  • Circuitry kits
  • Robotics kits
  • Work tables
