Copyright Information: Faculty

Why should I care about copyright at MRU?

  1. It is good scholarly practice. Individuals are responsible for the intellectual and ethical integrity of their work.
  2. MRU's Use of Copyright Materials Policy (POL #1610) applies to you everyone on campus.  Basically that means you have to comply with the Copyright Act, RSC 1985, c C-42.
  3. Copyright doesn't just protect other people's work - it protects yours as well.
