The Maker Studio is open for drop-in from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. The Studio also offers orientations to the space Monday to Thursday, along with workshops and special events hosted throughout the year.

The Maker Studio can be used for classes, group projects, and custom activities. Please contact Kerry Harmer at for more information.

Registrations for orientations, workshops and events can be done through the library programming calendar.

Patrons are asked to attend orientations to maintain a high standard of health and safety in the Maker Studio. A Waiver of Liability must also be signed on the initial visit to the studio. No food or open drinks are allowed in the Maker Studio or the Laser Cutter Room.

Please review the following documents for information that will be covered in orientations:

Maker Mondays

Maker Mondays are a series of talks where local Makers from within and outside of the MRU community come and share what they are working on, which simultaneously allows attendees to understand what's possible with tools and technologies in the Maker Studio. Come meet the Maker and ask questions about their project.

See the calendar for scheduled events throughout the semester. Registration is required.

Wellness Wednesdays

Wellness Wednesdays is a series of workshops all about living your best life through creativity and making. Hands on activities will show us how impactful making can be on psycho, social and physical wellbeing.
