Katharine provides leadership, strategic and administrative oversight for the Public Services at MRU Library. Public Services includes library user services, academic supports and instructional services including Ask Us chat & text, Service Desk, Outreach, Programming and Engagement in the Library's spaces, the Maker Studio and Audio Production.
Katharine has been the Liaison Librarian for Women and Gender Studies for over 10 years. She is also the Liaison Librarian for Languages, Cultures and Linguistics.
Katharine is selector for the Library's Zine collection, an area of alternative print publication that is often tied to political and feminist movements, personal narratives and creative expression.
In addition to teaching in the Library's information literacy program. Katharine is one of several co-creators and teachers of the GNED course Inside Information: Challenges and Controversies in an Information Society.
