As Dean, University Library, Meagan oversees all aspects of the Library, which is located in the Riddell Library and Learning Center, a vibrant and flexible space designed to foster collaboration, connection and engagement. The Library includes a variety of teaching and learning spaces including the Archives & Special Collections, Maker and Media Commons and a 360 degree Immersion Studio. The Library provides learning and scholarly supports and services for students, faculty and researchers including support for Open scholarship and practices, a robust program of faculty-led information literacy instruction, support for data and research data management (RDM), the Copyright Office, and a program of library faculty liaison and subject specialists. Previously, Meagan was Associate Dean, Collections and Digital Services at MRU, with overall responsibility for library collections development, technology and information systems, acquisitions budgeting, and collections licensing. She served an interim appointment as Library Chair, and before that taught information literacy as a faculty member at MRU. Meagan is active in professional organizations including serving as a member of the Board of the Council of Prairie and Pacific Libraries and most recently as Chair of the Board.
