Important changes to EBSCO databases this summer

by Trent Warner on 2025-06-05T11:03:00-06:00 | 0 Comments

Starting August 5, all of our EBSCO databases including Academic Search Complete, PsycINFO and CINAHL will be sporting a new look. EBSCO’s new search interface promises to be more intuitive and user friendly - a quick start guide is available to help you through the transition.

What does this change mean for you?

If you are linking to full text articles on the EBSCO platform, those links should not need to be updated, but you may wish to test them before the Fall semester begins.

All searches and results saved in the “My Folder” section of your account on these databases should also migrate over to the new platform automatically (example of My Folder). However, we recommend that you:

  • Download back up copies of saved search strategies before August 5

  • Move results saved in your EBSCO folders to a citation management tool like Mendeley or Zotero instead.

To save a copy of your search, retrieve the saved search and use the “Print Search Strategy” option to print to pdf. You can also select “Edit Saved Search”, right click to access the print option, and save as a pdf.

After August 5, your saved searches will appear in the new interface under “My Dashboard - Saved.”

Please note that materials in the “custom folder” section will not migrate. Please save this material before August 5 to retain it.
