We are excited to announce the arrival of eight new individual study pods to the Library. These pods are perfect for students looking for a quiet place to hold a private call, have an online meeting or job interview, or study with limited distractions. The pods can be found on the south side of the Computer Commons area on Floor 1.
Effective October 6, 2025:
Our study pods are insulated and reduce interior speech levels by 30 dB, meaning nearby workstations should not be able to overhear discussions inside and exterior noise is reduced significantly for those looking for a quiet, distraction free area to work and study. Each pod has an adjustable stool and table, 1 power socket and USB socket, a coat/bag hook, and a tablet to control pod settings like lighting and airflow.
A wheelchair accessible pod is on its way to MRU but was delayed in shipping. Students can also find a variety of work stations in the Computer Commons, including computer stations, Bring-Your-Own-Device stations with large monitors and Bike Desks located on the north end.
