Some Search Tips

• Use quotation marks in your search to find a particular phrase e.g. "chest tube"
• Use the search limits to make your results more manageable
  • To find videos, type in your search words. Once you have a list of search results, choose the limit "Resource Type" and select both "Audio Visual" and "Videos" from the list.
  • To find online books, select "Available Online" and under "Resource Type" choose "Books"
  • To find physical books, select "Physical Items" and under "Resource Type" choose "Books"

MRU students can sign up for two free cards that allow you to borrow books from other libraries in Alberta. Visit the Library Service desk for details.

• A COPPUL card allows you to borrow books from the libraries at MacEwan University, University of Alberta, and University of Lethbridge
• A TAL card allows you to borrow books from most public, college and university libraries in Alberta.

Please note that there may be limits on what you can borrow with these cards - please check with each library for details.
